Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's indoor track & field team had its final two representatives perform at the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championships on Saturday (Mar. 15).
Sophomore Anna Fochesato made a mark in her first showing on the national stage, earning All-American honors after finishing in 8th place with a mark of 1.73 meters in the high jump. It was her first-career All-American finish as a Cardinal.
Junior Emily Short competed on Saturday as well, narrowly missing out on her second-consecutive All-American showing in the 3,000 meter run. Short finished 12th in this year's event with a time of 9:59.50.
The Cardinals return to action for spring competition with the SVSU vs GVSU Dual on March 29, 2014.
