UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf program had three student-athletes named to the All-GLIAC teams, as announced by the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference on Thursday morning. Sophomore Marissa GeRue earned Second Team All-GLIAC honors, while senior Andie Martin and junior Christina Nagy were both named Honorable Mention.
All three Cardinals finished among the top 50 golfers in the region this season. GeRue highlighted the group with one win and two top-three finishes. She averaged 78.5 over 30 rounds and compiled a 417-254-11 record in 2025-26. GeRue won the SVSU Spring Invitational on March 15 and placed second at the GLIAC Championships on April 19. She also set the program's 18-hole and 54-hole records at the SVSU Spring Invitational, shooting a final-round 68 (-4) and finishing with a three-round total of 224 (+8).
Martin followed closely with a 78.6 scoring average over 32 rounds. She recorded one top-three finish and a 462-276-20 record. Her best performance came at the SVSU Spring Invitational, where she placed second behind GeRue to help lead the Cardinals to a team title. Martin also finished fifth at the NC4K Classic on April 7. She capped her career at the NCAA Division II East Regional with a personal-best round of 72 (E) in her final collegiate round.
Nagy posted the lowest scoring average on the team at 77.9 across 32 rounds, finishing the year with a 548-195-15 record. Her top finish came at the DU Panther Invitational on October 12, where she placed fourth. Nagy also finished seventh at the SVSU Spring Invitational and recorded her best round of the season at the GLIAC Championships, shooting a 71 (-1) in the final round to move up eight spots on the leaderboard.
"Seeing Andie, Tina, and Marissa earn this recognition comes as no surprise to our coaching staff," said SVSU head coach Mike Masten. "All three made tremendous strides throughout the year and continued to improve every time they stepped on the course. Andie finished the season playing some of her best golf, highlighted by a personal-best round in her final event of the spring. Marissa is just beginning to scratch the surface of her potential, and Tina has really started to understand the level of commitment and consistency it takes to compete at a high level. We are incredibly proud of the work they have put in, and it is rewarding to see that dedication recognized and paying off.
