UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. — Saginaw Valley State University kicker Teagen Lenderink adds D2Football.com Player of the Week honor to his resume after an upset win over 7th-ranked Grand Valley State in the Battle of the Valleys.
Lenderink was a difference-maker in the Cardinals' 20–19 victory on Saturday. Lenderink accounted for 10 of SVSU's 20 points, going a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals from 53, 25, and 49 yards. His 53-yarder was his career-long as a Cardinal. In addition to his scoring, Lenderink handled all punting and kickoff duties, averaging 46.2 yards on five punts with a long of 53 and 57.5 yards on four kickoffs, including two touchbacks.
Saginaw Valley State hosts Wayne State inside Wickes Memorial Stadium this Saturday, October 25, at 2:00 p.m. (ET).
